Tucked away in the heart of Umalas, Bali, is the cute and cozy Eko Cafe. As one of our regular haunts, Eko is our go-to for an array of healthy options and a home away from home.

Having been opened now for two years, Eko is about building community. You'll be hard-pressed to find someone you don't know at Eko wander in at any given point. It has turned in to a meeting point for many locals and expats alike. And why wouldn't it?

The thing about Eko, is that it's not trying to be anything it's not. It's not Canggu hipster, it's not swanky Seminyak, it hasn't been created to impress the influencers, it's come as you are, enjoy the atmosphere and delicious food.

And the food! On point every single time. From presentation to flavour, the meals are fresh and the coffee strong...just how we like it. Our choice?....Who are we kidding? We cannot pick one, so here's a list!

Tropical Pancake Stack - For the Instagram photo alone it is worth the order. We actually dare you to get through the whole thing!

Slow cooked pulled Pork Charcoal bun - They had us at slow cooked. This delicious, delectable and delightful creation will fill you at lunchtime, guaranteed. Bonus points for the charcoal bun!

Acai Smoothie Bowl - Served in a split coconut and full of healthy toppings, Eko's acai is the best of the best.

Breakfast Smoothie - If we are on the run, a breakfast smoothie to go is perfect. A combination of mango, yogurt, soya, and oats, it always gives us the energy to last the day.

So if you're staying nearby or are just in the area for a scoot on your holiday...pop by Eko.
